One topic, one short script, one saved take. Connecting social accounts is optional for recording.

1. Sign up or sign in with your email and password. Open DNA and describe your brand, audience, voice, and realistic weekly time budget.
2. Open Record → Write my own / paste a script. Add a title and 3–5 sentences: a useful opening, one example, and a clear takeaway.
3. Choose Rehearse without recording. Read it aloud and shorten anything that feels unnatural.
4. Enable camera when ready. Record a short test, stop, and check the picture and sound before making the full take.
5. Download the take you want. Open the saved file and play it, then confirm “I saved this file.” Prepare post text and finish uploading in your chosen social app.

Creator shortcut: Example: “Three things I check before a camping trip.” Show or explain one check in this first video; save the other two as ideas.

Know before you go: Videos are not backed up to your account. Keep a device copy before leaving Studio.

Creator DNA is your brief: who you help, what you make, and how you speak.

1. Open DNA. Set your brand and audience, preferred formats, platforms, and creation goals.
2. Add voice traits and authenticity rules. For example: practical, conversational, only recommend products I use.
3. Save before leaving. In Settings, choose default publishing destinations and your website link.

Creator shortcut: Experienced creator? Write down what you will NOT do as well: no forced product pitches, no unsupported claims, no imitation of other creators.

Idea Inbox keeps the topic, source notes, script, and progress together.

1. Open Ideas and add a new idea. Give it a specific title, format, notes, and useful tags.
2. Save the project. Use the script-outline action, or write your own text in Record.
3. Move the project through its stages as you actually complete the work. Stage labels do not record or publish for you.
4. Search or filter your inbox to find unfinished work. Archive ideas you are not pursuing; use the archived view to recover them.

Creator shortcut: Batch workflow: capture five questions your audience asks, outline three, and record two in one sitting. Keep one primary topic per post so later comparisons are useful.

Today uses your available content inventory. A score or demo card is not proof that a post will perform.

1. Choose a goal on Today: growth, affiliate opportunity, or the easiest content today.
2. If your library is empty, start with Ideas or a custom script in Record. A Today recommendation needs content inventory.
3. Read the source label on trend cards. Demo signals are examples; live research remains disabled in this beta.
4. AI text generation is limited to the approved owner pilot. Other accounts can still write, rehearse, record, and prepare posts manually.

Know before you go: A paid-looking plan label does not grant AI access. No plan or recommendation guarantees views or income.

Connect saves a public profile as a destination. This is not permission to post as you.

1. Open Connect and find the platform card. Enter your public handle or profile URL using the example shown on that card.
2. For Facebook, paste the actual page URL rather than a display name. For a website, use the full https:// address.
3. Submit the profile form, then use Open profile to check that it points to your account.
4. Use Refresh feeds to check available public information. Set your default destinations in Settings.

Know before you go: The current button may say “Sign in to your profile,” but it saves a public profile—not a social-network login. Never enter a platform password or API key. YouTube analytics authorization is not enabled.

Linked means the destination was saved. Live means some public information could be checked—not full analytics access.

1. Check the handle with Open profile. Correct the connection if it points to the wrong account.
2. Read the status explanation. Instagram, TikTok, and other networks may block public checks; repeated reconnecting will not grant private analytics access.
3. Use Stats to enter real post results manually or import the app’s CSV template.
4. YouTube public feeds and websites with RSS/Atom may supply recent posts. They do not supply private watch time or revenue.

Creator shortcut: A blank number means unknown, not zero. You can still use a linked account as a manual publishing destination.

Use the script picker in Record to choose a saved script, an idea, or your own text.

1. Choose Write my own / paste a script, or search the available scripts and ideas.
2. Add a title and paste your spoken words into Script. The editor allows up to 8,000 characters.
3. Use Save script copy to keep a reusable library version; it does not overwrite the original.
4. To start with a blank editor, choose Clear script and confirm. Cancel keeps the text. Undo clear restores it until you type, change scripts, or leave the page.
5. Wait for Draft saved before switching scripts. During recording or rehearsal, stop first to unlock editing.

Know before you go: Clear script empties the current draft and autosaves that change. It leaves the title, original library script, and recorded videos unchanged.

Scripts autosave to your account; recorded video does not. Always read the save status.

1. Pause typing and wait for Draft saved. If saving fails, keep the page open and use Download script text to protect your work.
2. Use Retry draft save when available. A conflict means another version exists; the app avoids silently overwriting it.
3. Before Load account draft, download your current text if you need it. Loading may replace the editor.
4. Expand Recent draft versions to inspect and restore one of the last 10 autosaved versions. Restoring creates a new version.

Creator shortcut: Work in one tab while editing a particular script. An export is a useful safety copy, not a substitute for checking the save status.

Rehearse first, then adjust the reading setup to fit your pace—not the other way around.

1. Choose Rehearse without recording to practice without camera or microphone access.
2. Adjust speaking pace (WPM) and text size. Keep sentences short enough to glance at rather than read word for word.
3. Enable camera and allow camera/microphone access only when you intend to record. Check framing, mirror preview, and zoom.
4. Collapse Camera controls when they cover your view. Recording navigation stays compact; expand controls again when you need them.
5. Keep the phone stable, look toward the lens, and make a short audio test before a longer take.

Creator shortcut: The prompt and frame are guides. Script text is not burned into the saved video. This release does not provide a full captioning or timeline-editing tool.

New take offers Save, Discard, and Cancel before resetting the live camera.

1. Stop recording and review the take. Choose New take / Retake.
2. Save: download first, open the saved file to check it, and confirm the saved-file checkbox before starting a new live take. If saving fails, keep the page open and retry.
3. Discard: explicitly confirm you do not want this take. No download is required. Cancel leaves the current preview unchanged.
4. Check that the preview is moving again before recording. The next recording should be a new take.
5. Use This sitting to review retained takes and select one for the publishing handoff. Keep downloaded copies; the tray is not permanent storage.

Know before you go: Do not refresh or close a tab with an unsaved take. A session tray or preview is not a cloud backup.

Protect any existing take before troubleshooting camera access.

1. Download the current take first if one exists. Do not clear browser data or refresh while it is your only copy.
2. Check camera and microphone permissions for app.buildthenpost.com in your browser/site settings. Close other apps that may be using them.
3. Use the app’s retry or enable-camera control. After New take, confirm the preview is live rather than a still image.
4. On mobile, keep the browser in the foreground and avoid locking the screen or switching apps during capture. Make a short test and play the saved file.
5. If the browser reports an unsupported format or the problem persists, try a current browser on another device and send support your device/browser and steps—never secrets or private footage.

Know before you go: Camera access, file format, and download behavior vary by device and browser. Mobile layout checks are not a guarantee of iPhone/Safari recording compatibility.

Build Then Post prepares text and opens a destination. You upload the video and confirm publishing there.

1. Download your chosen video. Look in your browser’s Downloads or your device’s Files/Downloads area and play it.
2. Choose Prepare post text or open Publish. Review the title, caption, destination, and any website call to action.
3. Use Copy & publish or the platform handoff. If a composer does not open, open the social app yourself and paste the caption.
4. Attach your downloaded video, review the final post, and publish in that platform. Add subtitles or edits there if needed.
5. Only mark the destination published in Build Then Post after the real post is live. Keep its URL for Stats.

Know before you go: No automatic posting, video upload, or scheduling is provided here. A “published” mark is your confirmation, not a verified platform receipt.

Keep the useful idea consistent, then adapt the hook and context for each destination.

1. Write one core script and save a copy before making variations.
2. Record several hooks in one sitting. Keep the best take or separate versions for different audiences.
3. Review each platform’s prepared caption instead of assuming every network needs the same copy.
4. For a multipart story, make each part understandable, label the sequence, and link a complete version on your own website if you maintain one.
5. Record the final URLs and compare similar topics at similar ages in Stats.

Creator shortcut: Weekly rhythm: one planning session, one recording block, then a short results review. Use what viewers respond to, not just what was easiest to produce.

Stats stores the post totals you enter or import. There is no automatic private analytics sync in this release.

1. Open Stats and add an observation: platform, title, primary topic, post link, published date, and observed date.
2. Enter cumulative totals from the platform. Leave unknown metrics blank instead of entering zero.
3. Use the same post URL for later observations. Add newer observation preserves the earlier date; Correct entry fixes a mistake.
4. Compare one platform at a time and use the same post-age window. A small sample is a clue, not a reliable prediction.
5. For batch entry, download the CSV template, fill it, preview the import, then confirm. Use this template rather than an unmodified platform export.

Creator shortcut: Example: compare three practical gear demonstrations with three travel stories at 7–8 days old. Use the topic median rather than letting one unusually successful post decide everything.

Know before you go: Publication-date filters do not mean views earned in that period. Cross-platform views are not unique people. CSV imports accept up to 100 rows and 256 KB per batch.

Money is a planning area. Missing revenue and watch-time data stay blank rather than being estimated.

1. Start with useful content and products you genuinely know. Explain tradeoffs instead of adding a sales pitch to every post.
2. Set your website destination in Settings if you have a relevant next step for viewers.
3. Use your actual platform or affiliate-program reports for earnings. This app does not currently receive affiliate clicks or revenue.
4. Follow applicable platform and disclosure requirements. Never treat a recommendation score as an income forecast.

Creator shortcut: A useful gear walkthrough can lead to a detailed checklist on your website. Measure whether viewers find it helpful before investing in more production.

Try the working beta first. Proposed paid plans describe the intended direction, not features you can buy today.

1. Free: learn the write → rehearse → record → manual publishing workflow and track real results.
2. Creator: intended for regular solo creators who want more planning and writing assistance. Example: turning a weekly idea batch into scripts. AI scripts and live trend research are not generally available yet.
3. Creator Pro: intended for creators building product-led content. Example: connecting gear demonstrations to measurable affiliate outcomes. Voice Follow, affiliate reporting, and competitor intelligence are proposed—not available integrations.
4. Studio: intended for multiple brands and teams. Example: a client’s draft moving through review before posting. Multi-workspace tools, team approvals, and client reporting are proposed.
5. Use the plan finder below to express interest. Check delivered features and final terms before committing when billing launches.

Know before you go: No checkout is live. Target prices are not an offer, and a tier label does not enable unfinished tools or the owner-only AI pilot. No payment, upgrade, or waitlist enrollment happens automatically.

Use email/password sign-in. Google and X sign-in are not enabled.

1. Open the sign-in page with the email used for your account.
2. Use password recovery if you cannot remember your password. Check spam/junk and the spelling of your email.
3. If you see too many attempts, wait before retrying; people on shared Wi-Fi may share a throttle.
4. If recovery still fails, contact support from your account email. Never send your password, reset link, API key, or connection string.

Account text and metadata are separate from video files on your device.

1. Keep recorded video files in your own device storage or backup service. They are not included in account exports and do not follow you to another device.
2. Use Settings → Download workspace JSON for a portable copy of the owner-accessible workspace content.
3. This export is not an automatic restore file. Use Stats for a CSV copy of performance observations and Download script text for readable script backups.
4. For account-data deletion, use the request link in Settings. Support verifies identity and scope before deleting; opening an email does not remove anything.

Know before you go: Keep exports private. Removing app data does not remove social posts or files on your device.

The beta prioritizes safe, manual workflows while integrations and billing mature.

1. New-idea and script-copy/outline actions each allow 50 attempts per account per 24-hour window starting with the first attempt. Failed attempts count; existing project edits and draft autosave are excluded.
2. The approved owner AI pilot allows 10 attempts per UTC day, 60 total, with 30 seconds between attempts. It is not unlocked by a tier label.
3. If something fails, note the page, action, expected result, device, and browser. Keep a copy of any unsaved work.
4. Use the feedback form below to open an email draft. Review it and send it yourself. Do not include secrets or private scripts.
